This keynote conversation centers on the ways both speakers engage in trans and queer activism through creative – critical practices. Following their presentations, Erin Green will moderate a discussion about the publication of the speakers’ new books: Tourmaline’s biography MARSHA: The Joy and Defiance of Marsha P. Johnson (Tiny Reparations Press/Penguin) and companion children’s book biography One Day in June: A Story Inspired by the Life and Activism of Marsha P. Johnson and Dr. Kaila Aida Story’s The Rainbow Ain’t Never Been Enuf: On the Myth of LGBTQ Solidarity (Beacon Press).
