About The Session

This keynote session centers the ways both speakers braid hip hop culture/aesthetics and creative storytelling in works such as Dr. Gwendoglyn D. Pough’s (pen name Gwyneth Bolton) romance novels like Sweet Sensation and Dr. Regina Bradley’s short story collection Boondock Kollage: Stories from the Hip Hop South. Following their presentations on the interplay of the creative – critical from their artistic/activist/scholarly approach and perspective, Chris Atkins will moderate a discussion between the speakers.
